Dinas PE Lakukan Pengadaan Alat Uji Genset

PE Department to Procure Genset Test Supporting Equipment This Year

This year, Jakarta Industry and Energy (PE) Department is about to procure supporting equipment for testing power plant generator set (genset).

We conduct the test to monitor gensets used by businessmen

Jakarta PE Department's Energy and Electricity Division Head, Edward Napitupulu stated, currently his side has two load bank units. Load bank is a device used to test genset's load and measure genset's performance. But this test cannot be done comprehensively without a complete supporting equipment.

Genset Operational Above 200 KVA Must Have Permission

"We conduct the test to monitor gensets used by businessmen, especially those with capacity above 200 kilo volts ampere," he mentioned, Thursday (4/4).

Moreover, this test is also important because electric power installations should have Operational Feasible Certificates (SLO) to ensure safety in using high-voltage power plant, especially to ensure network and installation usage are in accordance with the standard.

"All this time, we still use third party to do the test. But, after this procurement is completed, we can do it by ourselves," he mentioned.

PE Department has allocated Rp 400 million for the procurement. According to plan, auction will start in May and procurement will be completed in July.
